FROM JOSHLAFAYETTE.COM

I don’t really know much about Gavin McInnes other than he’s the Godfather of Hipsters or something and he’s funny and an asshole. I read this interview with him today and I really liked what he had to say about going to the brain gym:

“Suffering isn’t easy but there’s joy derived from it. Look at working out. People put their bodies through pain to get stronger and lose body fat and replace it with muscle. Why can’t they do that with their brain? For me, arguing is like going to the brain gym.”

Like, what are the odds this guy has been in a fight or tried heroin or even witnessed a threesome? I can’t even imagine him getting a tattoo. I’m not saying these things make you cool. There are plenty of losers who have lost themselves in each one, but I’m always suspicious of people who go out and tell people what’s good and bad about life when they don’t really carpe the diem themselves. Of course, there’s also the possibility the book is awful. Anyway, Paul here was not thrilled with the book and seemed to find the potential for sexism especially disturbing.

This is what they said,

“This will be possible! The Vice co-founder has sold a collection of stories to Scribner, which he describes as “a big pile of bar stories.” Marketing the book will involve making sure you can never find it anywhere, ever.”

I have no idea how we got this movie on Netflix. We’re not exactly in their good books and I stole all the Bill Maher and Carson Daly footage but it’s there. Sort of. MORE»
