Today is when Americans celebrate the birth (but not the death—at least we don’t think so) of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’s a well-known fact, documented on several miniseries on the Lifetime and Oxygen Channels, that MLK had quite the sweet tooth and was often found in the back of church rectories on on his personal tour buses gorging himself with Southern pastries and confections.
