However, what have American soldiers done to retain free speech in America?

Far as I can see, American soldiers have put their lives on the line to…
1- get independence from Britain
2- keep the country united
3- take care of some shit in WWI that I don’t get
4- stop Hitler from being mean to the world
5- stop the spread of extremist Muslims
Where does free speech come into this? Did kicking out the British help our free speech? Nope. You can slag off the Queen in 2009 Britain and they obviously didn’t kick the British out. Did stopping Hitler provide us with free speech? Hitler wasn’t about to take over America by any stretch of the imagination. It was nice of us to go over there at the last minute but it didn’t do much for America.
So, though I am sick to death of Palin-bashing and have a lot of respect for her son and all the soldiers in Iraq, I think saying they provide us with free speech is a bit rich. The only people that don’t have free speech are some Middle Easterners, North Koreans, Chinese, um, Malaysians?, Cubans, mostly losers that can’t handle their own shit. Modern cultures don’t have to struggle that hard to have free speech. It’s easy. Can I still say that?

the iraq conflict is only now about extremist islam because we went over there and gave clerics an excuse to polarize people. before we went and shook everything up iraq was a pretty secular country, without much internal divide besides the government versus the people. against the argument that their government was oppressive and we had to stop that, i think it’s pretty clear that the theory of evolution can be somewhat applied to cultures. their government sucked, but it’s only because their culture had only evolved to a point that could understand/support such an authoritarian government. so we should’ve just left them alone, we’ve made their culture devolve back into the tribal factions which has plagued the middle east for so long, and they’re now much farther than they were from being able to support a more republican form of government.

Add up all the countries’ percentages and then divide it by the number of countries (that’s how you calculate an average). You will get 24.6%. Say what you want about Christians but the vast majority of them are kind of boring Middle American white people that don’t really care about anything beyond Michael Bolton and their immediate family.
