So here’s the scene: Two bad guys in Florida try to rob a Dollar General store. Unfortunately for them, another customer—a 57-year-old grandfather—is carrying a legally concealed weapon.

Thinking on his feet, Grampa draws his Glock and blows one of the robbers’ heads off. The other robber jumps in the six-fo and makes a getaway.

No charges have been filed against Grampa.

Left v. right analysis:

Right: Unlike the Empire State Botching, no bystanders were hurt. There was no shrapnel, no collateral damage, and no hubbub. Grampa’s a hero and could become the Joe the Plumber of the 2nd Amendment.

Left: Were the robbers even carrying firearms? Is blowing a man’s head off without judge or jury what we need as a society?

Right: What if your baby sister had been the cashier? What if this had turned into The Wendy’s Massacre? Grampa may have just saved innocent peoples’ lives.

Left: OK, but look at the comments on the article:

Isn’t this the 2012 e-version of a racist lynch mob?

Right: Just because racists support something doesn’t make it inherently wrong. A lot of racists also like Big Macs, that doesn’t mean they’re not delicious.

Left: True.

Answer: it’s no good. You can’t celebrate people being shot in the head and killed, whatever they’re guilty of, period.

The only good takeaway I can find in this article is the phrase “Pavement Ape” being brought to my attention.

I hate when people use the “N” word. I don’t mean when they pretend to be black so people like their writing more, I mean when they actually SAY it. It’s an insult to all that is holy and good and pure in this world.

  6. jissom jigaboo says:

I, personally, have never heard the word ‘Nig-nog’ used, and quite frankly I am amused that you would find it’s potential utterance an insult to ‘all that is holy and pure in this world’.

While the political right, in which category most racists are likely to be included, is often far too quick in reflexively supporting any dispensation of justice–either by police or vigilantes, usually white–against criminals–usually black–it seems to me that the narrative invoked by the left is actually more repugnant: the rampant and often pathological criminality among the black underclass is, for them, a non-issue, a non-existent nightmare created in the feverish imaginations of red-state racists, for whom the ethnicity of our current president is still something of a sore point. Such concerns–which might, for instance, lead to an individual’s wanting to carry a concealed weapon–are not to be acknowledged as legitimate.

Except, of course, with respect to those seemingly non-ideological decisions which, when made by liberal and conservative whites alike, reveal that they do acknowledge, at least implicitly, the reality from which their “lying eyes” cannot be blinded, such as: the neighbourhood, or city, in which they choose to buy a home; whether they choose to send their children to public school and, if so, to which public school their children are sent; the areas of the city they tend to avoid after dark; and so on and so forth.

Besides, would liberals even care about this story, had not the criminals been black and the shooter, presumably, white? Of course not. It’s only in those instances in which a recognition of the reality of black crime is unavoidable that they have to change tactics, becoming outraged that two antisocial black criminals, both of whom are likely already to have had lengthy rapsheets, were prevented from terrorizing other citizens–among them, the Dollar General employees and customers, many of whom are likely poor minorities–by someone acting completely within the bounds of the law.

    HOW OUTRAGEOUS!

Nga please with this liberal heart trolling. No one being serious could possibly think that this old man is anything less than a hero.

for a group that is so quick to call republicans like bush “hitler”, the left is certainly eager to put us in the same position the people of germany during his rule -

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.” –Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942

Hey greedo, it’s not the crowd, it’s the cops,

Grandpa here fired 7 rounds, none hit the bystanders, two hit the perps. In a room full of innocent bystanders.

This is why I believe Zimmerman killed that thug in self defense. He fired one shot.
The cops usually do what is called magazine dump.

When a civilian (or cop in a civilian role) stop the mass shooter, 2.3 people die.
