Shit, the pieces are getting real small. Do you know what an asymptote is? Besides being one of the most overused words in my vocabulary, it’s a mathematical term for a graph that gets closer and closer to an axis but never touches. The way you explain it to women is you say you keep going half the distance between you and a tree; you’ll keep going closer but you’ll never quite get there.
Well, this is my fear with this tape. What if I keep getting asymptotically closer to the end of this exercise but never finish? What if the tape keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Actually, you know what? That’s fine. My goal here isn’t necessarily to rid the sole entirely of tape. I just need to get it to a point where it doesn’t crinkle on my chair.
This is no longer an emergency. I’m just going to plug away until we get the vast majority off my shoe.
