I just flew back from London and boy are my arms tired of waving at Muslims. They are fucking everywhere. When we got out of the taxi in West London I involuntarily said aloud, “What… the… fuck?”

I got in trouble for not blaming the Jews enough in this article and it’s something that comes up a lot but the problem is I just didn’t have room. Simply explaining how Muslimified Britain has become takes at least 2,000 words. To get into whose fault it is is a whole other bag of yarn.

But  for the sake of argument, let’s have a brief look at the “Jew problem.” One side says fundamentalists are fundamentally mental and Muslim extremists would be attacking us no matter what we did. One guy said Middle Easterners riot because they’re bored. Personally, I think there’s a good argument for blaming inbreeding. Whatever the reasons, the short version is: one side says it’s their fault.

The other side says it’s our fault for a) funding Israel and b) attacking Islam on its own turf. How about this for a doozie? The two are not mutually exclusive. They are mad at our foreign policy and our support of Israel AND they would be attacking us even if we were perfect little angels. Why do you have to choose between extremist Muslims and orthodox Jews? They both have b.o. and treat women like shit. As Kissinger said (though in a totally different context), “Can’t they BOTH lose?”

Anyway, I didn’t get into that here. All I said was I went to London and was completely blown away by how Muslim it’s become.

The Islamic Republic of England

On Monday, the harried horny heretic Salman Rushdie told the BBC, “A book which was critical of Islam would be difficult to be published now.” Rushdie was talking about his controversial 1988 tome The Satanic Verses, which led to the Ayatollah Khomeini issuing a fatwa against him. Rushdie knows Muslim rage intimately but he does not approve of the West’s reaction to the Middle East’s reaction to that weird YouTube movie that was kind of like The Satanic Verses for retards. “We’re in a difficult place because there’s a lot of fear and nervousness around,” Rushdie said of the West’s ethnomasochism. “The fact a documentary about Islam can be pulled because someone is worried about the consequences is an indication of that.” These comments are particularly poignant because Rushdie hails from the epicenter of Islamic rage: Britain.

I wouldn’t have believed how bad it was if I hadn’t just seen it with my own eyes. Sure, America also overindulges extremism in the name of tolerance. Libyans just murdered one of our ambassadors and America’s anger appears to be directed at the guy who made the murderers angry. In 2009, we learned the FBI had ignored warning signs that Major Nidal Hasan was going to shoot up Fort Hood because they didn’t want to appear racist. Here in New York, areas such as Astoria in Queens look more like Islamabad than they do Archie Bunker’s hometown. But we still arrest Muslim bad guys. Britain does the opposite. The children of Pakistani immigrants in Queens wear skinny jeans and listen to dubstep while their cousins in London stand on street corners preaching the joys of sharia law. Where we have faults, they have fault lines.

Melanie Phillips, author of Londonistan, says capitulation is the root of England’s imminent demise. At a talk earlier this year she said, “What Britain and all the other faint hearts fail to grasp is that the greatest single driver of terrorism is terrorism—or to be more precise, the demoralized reaction to it.” She was talking about the surge in terrorist recruitment after the 7/7 bombings and is one of the few Brits to notice that “The greater the terror, the greater the self-flagellation of its victims.”

One of the most iconic photographs from the 7/7 bombings was university lecturer John Tulloch covered in bloody bandages. A British magazine featured him next to a quote from Tony Blair that included the lines, “When they try to divide our people…our values will outlast theirs.”

Tulloch and his posh English accent are now facing deportation because he was born in India when his British Army Officer father was stationed there. Like his wife and kids, he’s had a British passport his whole life but the UK Border Agency confiscated it in the 90s, citing some bizarre old clause that deemed him a “British subject without citizenship.”

This is in a country with seven million foreigners, where 30,000 illegal Pakistanis are “missing,” and where, as Phillips says, “1,600 Islamic terrorists, most of them British Muslims…[are] trying to get a nuclear or dirty bomb to use against their fellow countrymen.”

In today’s Britain, almost 40% of young Muslims say they would prefer to live under sharia law, yet an old professor whose family has been British for hundreds of years has to go. It was 2005 when Blair made his commitment to “our values” but only two years later, David Cameron explained, “it is mainstream Britain which needs to integrate more with the British Asian way of life, not the other way around.”

The Magna Carta said, “No free man shall be seized or imprisoned…except by the law of the land,” but it appears the new interpretation is, “No Muslim can be punished, ever.”

I was born just outside London and I commiserate with John Cleese when he says, “London is no longer an English city.” Just West of London proper is a place called Southall. As I walked down their main street The Broadway a couple of weeks ago, I did not see one person who did not appear to be “British Asian.” There were Sikhs and Hindus and Bangladeshis and Muslims galore, but not a single English biddy carrying her shopping bags back home for tea. A teenager in a turban threw his empty energy drink on the street in front of me just as I realized my “Burn this Flag” American T-shirt had gone from mildly ironic to wildly incendiary.

During our visit last year we went to a beach called Southend I used to visit as a kid. This 19th-century working-class vacation spot still has the bumper cars and helter-skelter, but I didn’t see any old geezers with hats made of handkerchiefs. Instead, I saw a woman walking into the water wearing a burqa. Our host sensed my outrage and tried to diffuse it by saying, “Oh, that’s lovely. You know, when I was a girl coming here, everyone looked the same. Now there’s so much variety.”

This is a straw man argument. As Doug Saunders pointed out in the New York Times, “Catholics Then, Muslims Now.” This is just straight up xenophobia. Gavin is scared of a tiny minority of people that will represent (according to Pew stats) barely 10% of the population by the middle of the century.

Nice try, cunt but Mark Steyn delivered a perfect smackdown on Saunders here
    http://www.fivefeetoffury.com/2012/09/20/is-this-the-closest-well-ever-get-to-watching-mark-steyn-smack-down-doug-saunders-video/

Also, did Catholics murder their daughters for dishonoring the family by not succumbing to an arranged marriage at age 15?

  3. Anonymous says:

Interesting you mention the Magna Carta. In 1213 King John I begged Morocco’s King Mohammed en-Nasir for support and offered to convert his entire kingdom to Islam in exchange. The Muslim king was dubious of anyone so willing to subjugate themselves and John I was forced to sign the Magna Carta.

They’ve tried this before and it didn’t work.

  4. RED says:

That also happened in 1980 in the movie Superman II. General Zod told the president to kneel before him and the president obliged without a second thought. Zod knew a president of such a great land would have bigger balls than that so he sussed something was up and called them out for having a guy pretend to be the president.

  5. Robin says:

Mark Steyn doesn’t smack anyone down in that video. He is left looking like a stuttering fool blabbing about how he’s been to Sweden. And as for Catholics, I remember most of my youth the warnings we got in London due to Catholic bomb scares. There were twenty IRA bombings in London in the 1990′s alone.

There’s always some wanker yakking about how this or that immigrant won’t integrate or is scary. They said the same about blacks and Indians and whatever else. Gavin is the wanker du jour.

  6. tommy gun says:

the full taki article is brilliant. and pisses me off. my dad is from the UK, like yours i think, and thankfully all of this has seems to have passed him by. at least he never brings it up. he’s content in VA watching college football no desire to go back. maybe this is why.

also look at stats for how many of these muslims are on the dole, its crazy. the stereotype is wayne rooneys’ family in liverpool slurping carling extra strong all day but reality is a bit different.

also @anonymous – do you have a link on that point? that’s interesting to say the least.

  7. Lasse says:

Just 30 minutes ago, I attended an Islamist demonstration outside the American embassy here in Oslo. It’s in my neighborhood, so I thought I’d might as well check out what the bearded boys of Allah was up to.

There was a lot of praising of that dead dickhead Osama bin Laden. At one point they also praised the murder of Theo van Gogh. The speakers paused every once in a while to get the crowd shouting “Allahu Akhbar,” which grew extremely annoying after a while. That’s not showmanship, that’s Obsessive-Compulsion disorder.

A few meters behind the men, the women stood dressed like ninjas.

  8. Hornblower's Ghost says:

What I don’t get is where did this new found English liberalism and tolerance came from? Where the fuck was this when they were dealing with the Scottish and the Irish for hundreds of years. They could’ve avoided the entire troubles if they treated their immediate neighbors half as fucking liberally in the past…

  9. RED says:

    Re “Catholics Then, Muslims Now.”

Hey Britain, how’s Northern Ireland working out for ya?

  10. Jay says:

Gavin, anyone in their right mind in Britain knows Melanie Philips is a hack and that the Daily Mail is made for ignorant racist middle-aged middle-Englanders. RED, I’m from Northern Ireland. Do you actually know anything about it ? No, so shut the fuck up.

  11. Robin says:

“Hey Britain, how’s Northern Ireland working out for ya?”

    Er, now? Not that bad

  12. Johnny B M says:

Something tells me Robin has never been to Britain. Northern Ireland is still a mess my dear
    http://youtu.be/H-ov1kqPtRE
And if you think Catholics are Protestants are over it, go to Glasgow and walk into a Celtics bar wearing blue.

  13. Comparing the Irish in the UK with Irish immigrants to the US doesn’t work, because we’re talking about the behavior of Muslim IMMIGRANTs. So the immigrant experience is what counts, not Irish people who happen to be Catholics fighting with Irish people who happen to be Protestant over what is actually a land dispute, not a religious one.

The point some of you are missing is that yes, “people HAVE always complained about immigrants” — but you are forgetting that in _some_ cases, these complaints were APT. The gypsies are a good example.

The Irish WERE utterly awful when they came to the US. See the FiveFeetOfFury link someone else posted above. The irony is that the fairy tales the Nativists cooked up to smear the Irish (Catholic convents were full of kidnapped Prot maidens) were NOTHING compared to the actual stuff the Irish really got up to, like burning down black orphanages.

But even at their worst, 19 Irishmen never blew up the Empire State Building.

    Muslims. Are. Different.

They turn neighborhood after neighborhood across Europe into no go zones. In Canada, they prosecuted Mark Steyn and others for Islamophobia, and we have new honor killings every few months. That’s when they’re not planning to behead the PM and attack the Parliament Buildings.

I could go on, but I trust the doubters here have heard all these stories and more and have just decided to ignore them because they want to stay one of the cool kids.

Steyn has been to Malmo (where the Jews have been forced to flee) and Philips lives in London. But they’re both “hacks” — whereas Saunders (and those on this post) can’t say the same thing.

Saunders uses mere statistics and computer projections (sound familiar? “global warming” anyone?) Whereas I and any number of people including Gavin can provide you with reports of our lived experience with Muslims kicking our dogs, calling us whores, yelling “we need another Holocaust” at a major Toronto intersection, turning city public school cafeterias into mosques in which menstruating girls are forced to sit in the back…

But you all just stick with your liberal myths about “no nothing Nativists” and your affection for “all the great restaurants” while the rest of us do the heavy lifting.

  16. Saunders also fails to acknowledge that conditions for immigrants have changed over the last 100 years.

In the old days, immigrants said farewell to the old country forever. Transportation and communication was slow and primitive.

Today, cheap calling cards and affordable flights make it easy for “immigrants” to go back and forth, thereby reducing the chances that they will become 100% loyal to their new country.

In Canada we have Syrian “Canadians” who keep dual citizenship, winter in Syria — and then we non-Syrian Canadians foot the bill when they need to get rescued from the latest war.

Today’s immigrants are really more like settlers, or even gypsies. They come to the West for education and good/free health care, and plan to retire to their other homes in Greece or Spain while still receiving Canadian old age pensions. At least, that was the plan before the economic meltdown. Not sure what their plans are now.

After Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans volunteered for the US Armed Forces to prove their loyalty to America and became the most highly decorated unit in WW2.

Even the Mafia worked with US authorities to secure the East Coast waterfront and more. That despite the fact that the Axis powers included Italy.

Yet I don’t see Muslim Americans distinguishing themselves in terms of patriotism. Quite the opposite.

10% of the population is a lot. 1% of the West is gay, and homosexuals have managed to alter society beyond recognition in terms of “marriage” etc.

Jews are less than 10% of the population of the world, and invented Hollywood, comic books, nurtured jazz and modern art and much more, not to mention all those Nobel Prizes they win (unlike Muslims)

Now imagine an America that is 10% Muslim: their first loyalty is to the Koran and the umah. They have the technology to communicate with each other around the globe. They have access to Saudi money (most US mosques are Saudi funded). They are willing to die for what they believe in.

And most importantly, they are blindly supported explicitly or implicitly by ignorant, indifferent hipster libs.

    Again, you’ll thank me later.

  17. Johnny B M says:

We live in an age where xenophobia and bullying are unthinkable. All this has done is move the vice bullies up to the presidential spot. We told everyone they couldn’t be xenophobic so now bully cultures like Islam can do what they want. We told kids they can’t bully fat kids, gays, or nerds and now you have fat people dominating the ERs of most hospitals, gay marriage determining elections, and women dying of horniness because nobody can fuck them properly.

  18. I forgot to mention:

We no longer demand that immigrants learn English.

The way we speak influences the way we think.

And whether or not you accept the authority of the Bible, the story of the Tower of Babel remains instructive at a basic, human nature level.

The Irish were bullied into sorting themselves out. It was precisely because generations of nativist bullied newcomers into assimilating and viewed them with suspicioun that forced immigrants to do so. No, it isn’t “fair” or “nice.” yes, again, that is how human nature works.

Today we have adopted the opposite attitude, with predictable results.

  19. J says:

Kathy Shaidle – the crackpot counterjihadist. Not everything is about muslims, you forgot who rules the Western world behind the scenes – the J-word.

  20. lester says:

I have no problem with people speaking freely on the issue of Muslims in Europe or wherever else. My problem is when they try to conflate that with US foreign policy. Bash muslims all you want and if the UK needs to they should certainly modify their immigration and welfare policies and english people should have more kids if things are white enough for them.

Leave US tax payer dollars out of it.

If Muslims completely replaced white people in England there still wouldn’t be any reason to support Israel.

  21. Hornblower's Ghost says:

@lester, that is the best position possible on this issue for Americans. Europe is absolutely free to voice their complaints and address their problems about muslim immigration and its worries about it growing beyond the 5 or ten percent of their populations, but that is still not an imperative on our part to integrate that into our foreign policy, and is not a mandate for my tax dollars to keep subsidizing Israel. That’s not some bleeding heart liberal, hipster position Kathy, that’s the same position many old school, paleo conservatives have, including the guy who’s name appears on the masthead of the online magazine that Gavin originally wrote this article for.

  22. “We no longer demand that immigrants learn English.
The way we speak influences the way we think.”

Very true. The benefits of multiculturalism are only achieved if people actually become a part of that society. When people resist that, there’s no benefit at all. Language is important.

I wrote something about it here: http://www.streetbonersandtvcarnage.com/blog/55058/
