Yes. Self-centered yuppies that are hardly home are just as bad. At least they are providing a stable home with a steady supply of food and water. Shitties choose to live a lifestyle that is hard and based around self-reliance. If they don’t hustle they don’t survive. Forcing another living creature to endure that type of lifestyle is selfish and unfair. I’d venture to guess that given a choice, a dog would rather be lonely, but fat and comfortable than befriended, but also perpetually filthy and undernourished.
Yuppies get dogs to feel less lonely and prove that there is more to their life than money and success. Shitties get dogs to feel less lonely and prove that there is more to their life than scabies and terrible punk music.
